The Midland Boat Station in Edgbaston, Birmingham, underwent a significant redevelopment to provide improved facilities for the Sea Cadets. A key element of this project was including a wrap-around balcony decking area. The design required raised decking with a grooved surface to maximise anti-slip capabilities, essential for a waterside location used by young people. Adjustable pedestals were utilised to achieve the desired finished height. The project culminated in a successful opening ceremony conducted by Princess Anne.
